Job summary

System One is seeking a Platform Engineer to implement modern DevSecOps practices, automate secure CI/CD pipelines, and manage cloud-native infrastructure in a 100% remote position within the United States.

The role requires five or more years in platform engineering, strong AWS experience (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway), and expertise in IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, plus security integration across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, and Systems Manager.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain modern DevSecOps practices, including secure CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, quality gates, vulnerability scanning, and release automation.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or comparable technologies.
• Support cloud-native delivery using AWS services, containers, serverless, managed databases, networking, IAM, logging, and security services.
