Job summary

Box is seeking a Software Engineer III for its Developer Platform in Redwood City, CA. You will shape and expand the Box platform by building scalable APIs, developer tools, and analytics that empower Box customers and SaaS providers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full stack software engineering with emphasis on backend, databases and API development.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, UX and other engineering teams to align technical with product vision.
• Experience with cloud-based services, including security, scalability and reliability considerations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for developer-friendly products.
• Experience prototyping quickly in greenfield environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional partners to shape the roadmap for Box's Developer Platform (APIs, tools, SDKs, analytics).
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform capabilities for developers and SaaS providers.
• Improve developer experience with sandboxes, onboarding, testing environments, and self-service tools.
• Lead complex cross-team initiatives and drive production-ready features from concept to launch.
• Partner with Design, UX, Developer Relations, Support and other teams to align technical execution with business goals.
• Develop enterprise platform experiences including self-service app hubs and entitlement visibility tools.
• Work with large-scale datasets and big data technologies to generate insights for platform improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure platform performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Provide strong technical leadership and influence architectural decisions across the platform.
