Job summary

First Orion seeks a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and evolve scalable infrastructure for cloud, hybrid, and on-prem deployments. You will own the deployment pipeline, containerized infra, and CI/CD workflows to ensure reliability and reproducibility across regions.

You will collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment processes, reduce operational overhead, and enhance developer experience in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain deployment pipelines across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Design and manage containerized infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Build, improve, and support CI/CD workflows using Gradle and Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Ensure platform deployments are reproducible and cloud-agnostic.
• Monitor platform health using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage secrets with Vault.
• Troubleshoot production issues across environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment processes and reliability.
• Drive automation to reduce overhead and increase consistency.
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions.
