Job summary

bookerdimaio is seeking a Platform Engineer to lead deployment and sustainment of mission-critical production systems. The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD with 1-2 remote days per week, and requires ownership across the full stack from deployment to operation.

The ideal candidate will deploy containerized apps with Kubernetes, modify backend Java Spring services and Vue.js frontends, and collaborate with DevOps and engineers to ensure robust environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Hybrid onsite/remote work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
• Experience deploying containerized apps with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficiency with Java/Spring (Spring Boot) and Vue.js frontend.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and distributed web apps (GitLab CI/CD).
• Linux administration and Git experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure applications across multiple network environments via Kubernetes.
• Design, establish, and document repeatable deployment processes and pipelines for delivering apps and updates.
• Modify and troubleshoot system components built with Java Spring (backend) and Vue.js (frontend).
• Diagnose and resolve issues across infrastructure, middleware, and application layers during standup and stabilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software developers, and system engineers to align deployment practices with architecture and ops standards.
