Job summary

Gibson Dunn is seeking a Platform Engineer to build reusable platforms, tools, and services that boost developer productivity across the firm. You will write and ship code for the internal developer platform, maintain self-service tooling, and automate CI/CD, cloud, and observability workflows.

Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will deliver reliable, well‑tested code and evolve toward end‑to‑end ownership, supporting AI workloads and governance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency writing production-quality code in Go and Python, with test coverage.
• Experience building pipelines-as-code using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Hands-on with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible/Helm) and GitOps workflows.
• Cloud and container experience (AWS/Azure; Kubernetes/Docker).
• Familiarity with observability tooling and basic SRE practices.
• Exposure to policy-as-code, security basics, and incident management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field; professional services/regulatory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain self-service tools, CLIs, libraries, and templates as tested code.
• Contribute features to internal developer platform and portal via PRs and reviews.
• Provide day-to-day developer support for platform services and triage issues.
• Automate AI and non-AI workloads with reliable, observable pipelines.
