Job summary

Perry Weather, a weather safety platform, seeks a Platform Engineer to design and run infrastructure, IaC, and Kubernetes environments. You will shape delivery pipelines, observability, and guardrails, collaborating with the rest of engineering to ensure fast, reliable deployments.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in platform/DevOps, Terraform experience, and major cloud familiarity (Azure preferred). You will join a team focused on scalable, secure operations and cost-conscious tooling.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or backend engineering with production ownership.
• Terraform experience ideal; IaC in production and keeping code in sync with running systems.
• Major cloud experience: Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also transferable.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain Terraform for cloud footprint and module usability.
• Run Kubernetes clusters and Helm-deployed services with tuning and scaling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD in GitHub Actions for fast, dependable builds and deploys.
• Improve instrumentation, dashboards, and alerting for reliable platform behavior.
• Track cloud spend and implement cost controls before changes ship.
• Manage secrets, least-privilege access, and scanning for security.
• Support AI agents with scoped identities and audit trails, cost tracking.
• Share on-call rotations and respond to platform incidents.
