Job summary

Perry Weather, based in Dallas, is hiring a senior software engineer to own features end-to-end—from UI to backend services and proprietary hardware. You will work across React, React Native, and .NET, while learning how the hardware interface runs from firmware to cloud.

You will drive reliability and efficiency with every deployment and influence technology choices as we scale. We value hunger, scrappiness, and humility, and encourage leveraging AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production software with ownership on both sides of the product
• A substantial React and TypeScript application you were responsible for with scalable state management
• Backend depth in a statically typed language (C#/.NET; Java/Go/Kotlin acceptable)
• A service you have operated in production, monitored, and improved
• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems and data streams
• Tests you would defend in code review and why
• Fluency with AI-native engineering tools and agent-based workflows
• Ability to review generated code for correctness and explain your choices

Responsibilities

• Work across React web dashboard, React Native app, and .NET services
• Integrate with weather APIs and real-time weather data processing
• Build and maintain back-end services in .NET for Linux environments
• Work with Docker containers in a Kubernetes environment on Azure
• Operate in a Unix/macOS environment targeting Linux
• Understand interactions with Perry Weather hardware and firmware
• Coordinate deployments for large cross-system projects
• Improve and innovate on existing infrastructure and toolchains
• Use AI coding agents daily to accelerate development and shape team processes
