Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Platform Engineer/Application Support Lead to drive application support and enablement across a large AWS enterprise ecosystem. You will bridge platform and application teams, own production support for OpenShift (ROSA) and EKS on AWS GovCloud/Commercial, and build self-service tooling with Terraform and GitLab.

The role is fully remote with a standard 8am–5pm EST shift, requiring a strong background in AWS, OpenShift, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent with 12 years of experience.
8+ years AWS experience across AWS Commercial and GovCloud.
Experience with OpenShift, ROSA, and EKS in large enterprises.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior technical lead for production application support, driving detection, triage, mitigation, restoration, and executive‑level communication during high‑impact events.
Own emerging customer issues end to end, ensuring technical solutions are actioned and tracked to resolution.
Facilitate blameless RCA sessions and produce a roadmap for future changes and improvements.
Build self-service onboarding and platform tools to reduce friction for application teams.
