Loancrate Inc. is building AI-native tooling to automate mortgage workflows. We are seeking a Senior Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to design self-serve platforms, libraries, and automation that empower product engineers while maintaining security and uptime.

You will own the reliability and performance of our data platform, extend internal TypeScript tooling, and drive scalable infrastructure with Terraform and Pulumi. Join a remote-friendly, fast-paced team shipping features with velocity.

Qualifications

• Experience building internal platforms / developer tooling.
• Strong TypeScript skills and API design.
• Deep AWS experience across compute, networking, storage, and security.
• Strong Terraform and/or Pulumi proficiency.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems.
• Track record building production observability stacks.
• Security-first mindset - secure defaults.
• Aurora PostgreSQL operations at scale.
• Comfort with Docker and container orchestration.
• Reliability engineering mindset: SLOs, incident response.
• Curiosity about AI/LLM infra demands.
• Strong written communication - documenting decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi Cloud.
• Design and maintain internal developer tooling and libraries that standardize how we build and ship.
• Create and maintain golden paths for common workflows (new service setup, background jobs, event streams, APIs).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and per-PR ephemeral environments.
• Drive reliability through SLOs, auto-scaling, incident response, and postmortems.
• Create observability tooling and shared instrumentation libraries.
• Enforce security best practices across IAM, secrets, encryption, audit logging.
• Own the reliability and performance of our data platform (Aurora PostgreSQL).
• Reduce toil through automation and self-service tooling.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and documentation, participate in on-call rotation.
