Job summary

Upside Search is seeking a SaaS Operations Engineer in a hybrid/remote role to optimize cloud infrastructure, security, and deployment pipelines for a healthcare tech platform. You will monitor Azure-based systems, strengthen CI/CD, and support audit readiness while collaborating with product teams to improve reliability and performance.

The role emphasizes scalable cloud operations, proactive incident prevention, and delivering secure, observable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SaaS infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of monitoring/alerting tools (Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor).
• Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Healthcare or healthtech industry experience is a plus.

SaaS Operations Engineer | Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD, & Security

A growing SaaS company in the healthcare technology space is seeking an experienced SaaS Operations Engineer to support and optimize the cloud infrastructure behind a leading home-care management platform. This person will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the company’s cloud-based systems - proactively monitoring performance, maintaining deployment pipelines, and supporting compliance initiatives.

This is a full-time hybrid/remote position with a collaborative and fast-paced engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and monitor a cloud-based (Azure) environment, ensuring uptime, scalability, and reliability across microservices and background processes.
• Set up automated reporting, logging, and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
• Maintain and enhance the company’s Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to support smooth, secure, and efficient releases.
• Partner with leadership and external audit teams to maintain compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and other security frameworks.
• Implement and enforce best practices around access management, patching, and vulnerability prevention.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes across infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with developers and product leaders to continuously improve performance, monitoring, and system health visibility.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SaaS Infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (or similar cloud platforms)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, etc.)
• Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.)
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience supporting SaaS products or microservices-based architectures preferred
• Healthcare or healthtech industry experience a plus
