Job summary

FTS, Inc. is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to own and support our Azure cloud environment and Microsoft technology stack. This hands-on role covers cloud infrastructure, systems administration, and end-user support in a hybrid work setting.

You will design, deploy, and manage Azure resources, monitor performance, enforce security, and collaborate with IT to ensure business continuity in a healthcare-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems administration with Azure.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem including Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience providing end-user support in addition to infrastructure work.
• Onsite availability Tuesday–Thursday.

Our client, a healthcare SaaS company, is looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to own and support their Azure cloud environment and Microsoft technology stack. This is a hands-on, broad-scope role — you'll be responsible for cloud infrastructure, systems administration, and end-user support, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and wants ownership across the full infrastructure stack rather than a narrowly scoped specialty. This role is hybrid, with onsite days Tuesday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, VMs, storage, and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID. Administer and maintain the Microsoft technology stack, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and related enterprise tools. Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving infrastructure issues. Manage identity and access administration, including user provisioning, permissions, and MFA/conditional access policies. Support networking components — VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and connectivity between cloud and on-prem resources where applicable. Provide end-user technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues for employees. Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes for critical systems. Implement and maintain security best practices across the Azure environment and endpoint devices, in alignment with the company's healthcare compliance requirements. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and support procedures. Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup and account provisioning. Collaborate with the broader IT/security team on infrastructure projects and improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or systems administration, with hands-on Azure experience
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem — Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365
• Experience providing end-user/helpdesk-level support in addition to infrastructure work
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Clear communication skills, comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to work onsite Tuesday–Thursday

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, ARM templates, or Bicep)
• Experience in a healthcare or other regulated/compliance-driven environment (SOC 2, HITRUST, HIPAA, or similar)
• Experience supporting a small-to-mid-size company where you're wearing multiple hats across infrastructure and support
