Job summary

Their platform helps streamline critical administrative and operational processes such as manual data entry, note tracking, charting, time and attendance, payroll, billable hour tracking, and overall practice management. The company is focused on delivering a secure, scalable, and highly reliable technology platform that enables home care providers to operate more efficiently.

Role Overview

As a SaaS Operations Engineer, you will own the health, performance, reliability, and security of the company’s cloud infrastructure and DevOps ecosystem.

This role will focus heavily on Microsoft Azure, system monitoring, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, infrastructure security, compliance, automation, and proactive issue resolution. You will work closely with development and leadership teams to identify and resolve infrastructure and performance issues before they impact customers.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Monitoring

• Manage and monitor the organization’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment, ensuring uptime, scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Support a cloud-based environment consisting of microservices and background processes.
• Implement and maintain automated alerts, reporting, and monitoring tools to proactively detect system anomalies and performance issues.
• Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and recommend improvements to system performance, stability, and scalability.

CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance

• Own and maintain existing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth, consistent, and reliable software releases.
• Support development teams throughout build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes, reduce friction, and increase overall release efficiency.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, and environment-related issues as they arise.

Security & Compliance

• Partner with leadership and external audit teams to support compliance efforts, including SOC 2, HITRUST, and HIPAA.
• Implement and maintain best practices related to access management, patching, vulnerability monitoring, and infrastructure security.
• Proactively identify potential security risks and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Help lead initiatives designed to strengthen the environment against threats including ransomware and other cyberattacks.
• Support ongoing security reviews, compliance documentation, and remediation efforts.

Automation & Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational and infrastructure tasks.
• Develop scripts, tooling, and automated workflows that improve efficiency and reliability.
• Enhance system visibility through improved monitoring, reporting, and operational dashboards.
• Continuously evaluate ways to improve infrastructure processes and reduce manual intervention.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with software development teams to ensure seamless integration between application code and operational systems.
• Partner with engineering and leadership around system performance, infrastructure strategy, and operational priorities.
• Support incident analysis, root cause investigation, and documentation.
• Clearly communicate system issues, risks, recommendations, and operational trends to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, SaaS Infrastructure, Site Reliability, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and processes, such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, or comparable technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, infrastructure management, and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, preferably including SOC 2 and HIPAA.
• Experience with infrastructure security practices including access management, patching, vulnerability monitoring, and remediation.
• Scripting experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across development, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Experience supporting a SaaS product or microservices-based architecture is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience within healthcare, healthtech, or another regulated technology environment is a plus.
