Job summary

Marks Sattin is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge product engineering and enterprise customers. The role focuses on deploying, optimizing, and scaling a next-generation observability platform across highly regulated environments.

You will serve as a trusted technical partner, guiding deployment strategy and product direction. Ideal candidates will have strong Kubernetes and cloud experience, with hands-on IaC, container tooling, and scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and production platform operations.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking, security, authentication, and infrastructure architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Experience supporting customers or cross-functional teams in complex technical environments.
• Excellent communication skills explaining technical concepts to engineering and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with enterprise customers to design, deploy, and optimise large-scale Kubernetes-based platform implementations.
• Act as the technical bridge between customer engineering teams and internal Product and Engineering functions.
• Define best practices for deployment, security, scalability, observability, and operational governance across client environments.
• Architect and automate deployment patterns using Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Influence the product roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve deployment, supportability, and operational efficiency based on customer feedback.
