Job summary

HighLevel is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead the Platform Services team, owning shared infrastructure and core services used by product teams. This role blends hands-on architecture with people leadership to ensure reliability, scale, and velocity across enterprise workloads.

You\'ll guide roadmap planning, drive cost optimization in cloud environments (GCP/AWS), and champion observability and incident response. Remote-first culture with global impact and fast execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a software development manager role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Go, Python or Node.js.
• Experience leading a platform team at enterprise scale (3+ years).
• Hands-on with architecture, code, and systems; not purely managerial.
• Deep experience with GCP and/or AWS; cost governance.
• Strong observability skills (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).
• Data-driven decision making, roadmap planning, and delivering complex initiatives.
• Strong people management and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and scale of platform services.
• Drive cost optimization for cloud infrastructure.
• Plan roadmap, estimate work, and ensure on-time delivery.
