Job summary

Speechify seeks a Software Engineer, Platform to own backend APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics powering Speechify’s text-to-speech products. You will improve services, enforce correctness, and automate repetitive tasks to scale with growing user demand.

Ideal candidates have proven TS/Node backend experience, cloud knowledge (GCP preferred), and comfort with Docker and Kubernetes deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Ability to hand off work and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own backend APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve and optimize services for performance and cost.
• Ensure correctness by adding checks and monitoring.
• Automate repetitive tasks to free up time for higher value work.
• Turn individual work into repeatable, team-wide solutions.
• Design B2B and enterprise integrations with customers.
