Job summary

State of Louisiana's Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services seeks an experienced architect to guide solution architecture across programs in Baton Rouge. The role provides architectural guidance and governance to help teams adopt consistent patterns in line with OTS standards.

The incumbent collaborates with leadership on strategic initiatives, develops documentation, and creates reusable software components to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of information technology experience.
• Six years in any field plus five years IT experience.
• Associate's degree in information technology plus five years IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus five years IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours in IT/CS/engineering/math/business analytics plus four years IT experience.
• Master's degree plus four years IT experience.
• A certification in an approved area may substitute for education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs teams in design, development, testing, debugging and documentation of new or existing applications within accepted standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Leads the development of standards, procedures and guidelines for application design and development.
• Creates high-level architecture specifications addressing system integration and compatibility at the system/solution level.
• Creates reference architectures, applications, and proofs of concept for migration and modernization solutions.
• Collaborates with OTS leadership on organizational initiatives and continuous improvement efforts; provides guidance and solutions to speed development timelines.
