Job summary

Rocket Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to define and drive the DataEdge platform strategy, aligning product roadmaps and architectural decisions with customer needs and Rocket's platform ambitions.

You will lead cross-product initiatives, promote reusable services and AI-enabled capabilities, and mentor senior engineers to advance cloud-native, scalable solutions across distributed environments.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
Experience defining architecture and technology strategy across multiple enterprise products.
Strong expertise in LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, retrieval architectures, and enterprise AI integration.
Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, containers, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and modern software delivery.
Experience building shared platforms, services, APIs, or reusable frameworks and leading technology consolidation.
Proven ability to lead cross-product initiatives and align with product strategy; excellent communication with executives.

Responsibilities

Define DataEdge platform strategy and translate business priorities into a shared, cross-product technical roadmap.
Build alignment across Product and Engineering teams, balancing product needs with portfolio-wide platform objectives.
Collaborate with architects across DataEdge and Rocket portfolios to drive shared platform opportunities.
Drive reusable services, APIs, frameworks, and common platform capabilities across the portfolio.
Define cloud-native deployment, observability, security, and operational excellence strategies.
Lead adoption of AI platform capabilities and mentor senior technical staff across the portfolio.
