Job summary

Rocket is seeking a Distinguished Engineer for the Servicing Tech vertical. You will set the multi-year technical direction for the systems and platforms powering mortgage client servicing, including AI-enabled workflows and platform integrations across Rocket and its partners.

You will define foundational architectural patterns, mentor senior engineers, and serve as a standing technical advisor to leadership on strategic technology bets and trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Significant tenure as a senior individual contributor with cross-team impact.
• Hands-on experience leading platform-building efforts at enterprise scale.
• Sustained external presence in the engineering community.
• Evidence of owning at least one multi-year technical bet end-to-end.
• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year technical strategy for the next-generation servicing system and AI-based workflows.
• Own the architectural direction the vertical will build on for years.
• Lead cross-cutting platform investments that change Servicing Tech capabilities, including AI-enabled directions.
• Mentor senior engineers to develop the next generation of Distinguished Engineers.
• Advise executives on technology strategy, build-vs-buy decisions, and strategic bets.
