Job summary

RTX Corporation's Landing Systems division in Opa Locka, FL, is seeking a Plater II to perform mechanical blasting and plating prep on components. This on-site, first-shift position offers hands-on work on chrome, nickel, cadmium processes and related quality checks.

You will mask, stop-off, wax, alodine and measure parts, load ovens, and document operations. The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience; strong attention to detail and ability to work in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience using measuring instruments is preferred (micrometers, thickness gauge, dial bores, calipers, amp meters, telescoping gauges).
• Basic computer skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Masking or stop-off for plating, shotpeening and sandblasting.
• Wax parts for plating and perform alodine, brush cad, cad strip & passivation.
• Sand blast parts for plating (chrome, nickel, cadmium and nitol etch) and measure components with gauges.
• Load/unload parts in ovens and document operation times/dates.
