Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on electroplating and chemical processing for a landing gear MRO environment in Florida. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and document plating processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure aerospace standards and NADCAP compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, process improvement, and rigorous technical support for shop-floor operations. Onsite in Florida with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in STEM or related technical field with 5+ years of experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in industrial electroplating or electrochemical processing.
• Strong understanding of plating chemistry, process parameters, and controls.
• Ability to investigate problems, analyze performance, and develop corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for aerospace electroplating and chemical processing operations.
• Troubleshoot plating defects, process instability, and chemistry issues to identify root causes.
• Analyze bath chemistry and process performance to identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
• Lead process qualification and requalification activities with testing coordination.
• Support qualification and production implementation of new/plated processes with cross-functional teams.
• Interpret drawings and customer specifications to ensure compliant processes.
• Collaborate with tooling engineering to evaluate fixtures and masking.
• Provide technical training to shop-floor personnel.
• Support NADCAP audits and corrective actions.
