Job summary

nVent seeks a manufacturing operator in Richland, MS to load and roll aluminum using plate roll equipment, verify measurements, and weld/tack ends as needed. You will record material transactions, follow BOMs, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a non-air-conditioned production environment.

You will operate a MIG welder, stencil IDs, and use various hand tools while coordinating with a Team Lead to meet daily production schedules.

Qualifications

• Able to read tape measure; basic print reading skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to record material transactions accurately and electronically.
• Experience with BOMs, material handling, and inventory control preferred.
• Able to collaborate and communicate with team members.
• Able to obtain forklift certification and operate a forklift safely.
• Able to lift items up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for long periods in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate plate roll machine to roll aluminum and verify radius and roundness.
• Tack weld ends for cylindrical pieces and remove completed parts.
• Stencil IDs and move pieces to staging area; count and report daily.
• Load sheets with vacuum lifter, use overhead crane for large pieces.
• Maintain housekeeping and record transactions; follow safety practices.
