Job summary

Valmet in Columbus, MS is seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Operator to perform key mechanical tasks in a rapid manufacturing setting. You will assist in loading machines, moving materials, operating roll-related equipment, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift 25–50 lbs. Experience with respirators/safety gear is a plus. Background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to read measurements and use basic measuring instruments.
• Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs and wearing safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Blasting rolls and preparing rolls for processing.
• Operating autoclaves and performing minor repairs as needed.
• Installing/removing bearings and handling process heads.
• Loading machines and transporting rolls and raw materials.
• Maintaining clean work areas and following safety policies.
