Job summary

nVent is seeking a hands-on plate roll operator to produce aluminum cylindrical pieces. You will adjust settings, load materials, and operate the roll and MIG weld equipment while ensuring accuracy of radius and alignment.

Responsibilities include inspecting rolled pieces, tacking ends, moving parts to staging, and keeping the workspace clean. Forklift operation and safe handling are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measures to 1/16 inch and read basic prints.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work to meet production schedules.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with team members.
• Forklift certification and safe forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Reference print to confirm sheets count and radius.
• Adjust plate roll settings for correct radius and thickness.
• Load aluminum sheets using vacuum lifter and roller table.
• Operate machine with joystick-style controls and stop on completion.
• Tack weld ends for cylindrical pieces and inspect roundness.
• Move pieces to staging area and track daily counts.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
