Midland Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Plastics Project Manager to lead new engineered plastic manufacturing programs from award through production launch.

This role acts as the primary project owner and coordinates with customers, sales, engineering, quality, and operations to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. You will manage cross-functional teams across thermoforming, extrusion, machining and fabrication, oversee sampling and validation, and drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management or manufacturing engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience in plastics or custom manufacturing preferred.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development projects from award through production launch, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates and building relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers) to ensure successful execution.
• Manage project schedules, tooling development, material readiness, production documentation and supplier deliverables.
• Oversee sampling, validation builds, quality requirements, and production launch activities for a smooth transition to full-scale manufacturing.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive completion with high customer satisfaction while maintaining records.
