Job summary

Omega Plastics, LLC is seeking a Plastics Extrusion Grinder to operate granulating processes and maintain production areas. You will grind scrap material, ensure cleanliness of equipment, and prevent contamination while handling regrind materials on a daily shift.

The role requires standing for long periods, exposure to cold and hot environments, and the ability to perform basic math and reading/writing tasks. Forklift operations and multi-tasking are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on concrete floor for 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to work in cold and hot environment.
• Heavy lifting.
• Walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs.
• Must be able to use close vision to operator saws and drills.
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Grind scrap material.
• Clean granulating machine as required.
• Ensure materials are not contaminated while grinding.
• Weigh, label, stock, and record regrind material in raw inventory area.
• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using forklifts and hand tool.
• Remove and dispose of scrap material as directed.
• Maintain and clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Description

The Plastics Extrusion Grinder operates a variety of machines used to granulate plastics. Works from specific verbal and written supervision with close supervision.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grind scrap material
• Clean granulating machine as required
• Ensures materials are not contaminated while grinding
• Weigh, label, stock, and record regrind material in raw inventory area
• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using forklifts and hand tool
• Remove and dispose of scrap material as directed
• Maintain and clean work area
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday:

• 1st Shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm - $ 75 cents shift differential
• 3rd Shift 10:30 pm to 7:00 am - $ 1.25 shift differential
