Vantage Plastics in Bay City, Michigan is seeking a Grinder for the night shift to maintain a safe, clean production cell while processing scrap materials. You will learn and use the Plex System to record materials and manage locations, with forklift duties and routine maintenance support.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing long shifts, and passing forklift and grinder safety tests. Overtime may be required for Grinder coverage or Shipping/Receiving tasks.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must Pass Online Forklift Test.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Must Pass Online Grinder Responsibility Test.

Responsabilidades

• Keep shop floor clean of all scrap material.
• Must be aware of all different materials being used in production and have a plan to mitigate risk of mixing materials when processing.
• Preform Daily Forklift Inspections and Record on the Plex System.
• Empty trash and floor sweep containers at each cell.
• Record Full Regrind Boxes when required and enter on Plex System and move to proper location.
• Record Full Floor Sweep Boxes on the Plex System and move to Proper Location.
• Keep track of Silos in Airpark and switch over full ones when needed.
• Make sure Grinder area is kept clean with no trip hazards.
• Work with Maintenance on doing Daily PM Checks on Equipment.
• When needed help Maintenance change Grinder and Shredder Blades.
• Learn the Plex System on Recording and Locating Material.
• When needed be willing to work Overtime. This Overtime could be for Grinder coverage or in the Shipping/Receiving Dept.

Job Title: Grinder

Job Summary

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must Pass the Online Forklift Test.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Must Pass Online Grinder Responsibility Test.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, twist, over long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly over 12 hours shifts

This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance including safety & environmental, quality, reliability, production, and productivity.
