Job summary

KCCONSULTING is hiring a production operator in Ohio to support the plastics manufacturing line. You will rotate between day and night shifts, operate extrusion-related equipment, monitor product quality, and document production data.

Schedule:

Rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule
Day Shift: 6:45 AM–7:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:45 PM–7:00 AM

Job responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
• Operate pulverizers, extrusion, melt-blending and pelletizing equipment.
• Process, batch and stage plastic materials according to specifications.
• Monitor product quality and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material-handling equipment.
• Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with training less-experienced operators.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing, machine-operation or production experience.
• At least one year of extrusion experience; plastics experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Forklift or skid-steer experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and varying temperatures.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
