Forefront Dermatology in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a fast-paced Plastic Surgery office and Certified Surgery Center. The role spans Pre-Op, OR, and PACU with flexibility in scheduling based on surgical volume. A Maryland RN license and BLS/ACLS are required.

This PRN position may lead to full-time, with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include 2-year RN or 4-year BSN, prior OR/PACU experience preferred, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Must hold a Maryland RN license and active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in Plastic Surgery, L&D, PACU and/or OR preferred; ICU/ER considered.
• PRN position with potential to become full-time; typical hours 6:30 am–3:30 pm; scheduling flexible to surgical volume.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Pre-Op patients for surgery.
• Monitor Vital Signs and patient status.
• Explain Post-Op instructions to patients.
• Establish IV access and start IVs.
• Position and reposition patients for surgery as needed.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgeons/OR staff.
• Administer IV medications.
• Transport patients from OR to PACU.
• Care for patients in PACU and during recovery.
• Discharge patients after surgery.
• Clean and maintain Surgical Suite.
• Document EMR and paper charts.
