Belcara Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Plastic Surgery team in a unique combined clinic, operating room and PACU role, supporting patients from pre-operative education through surgery, recovery and post-operative care on-site.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Maryland Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Previous operating room, perioperative, PACU, or surgical nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, ambulatory surgery center, or outpatient surgical experience is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative team members.
• Comfortable working across the clinic, OR, and PACU environments.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist wherever needed to support the team and our patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for scheduled plastic surgery procedures.
• Assist with pre-operative patient preparation and surgical safety processes.
• Serve as a circulating RN during surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Complete intraoperative documentation and assist the surgical/ anesthesia teams.
• Support patient transition throughout the perioperative experience.
• Assist with room turnover and supplies management.
• Follow surgery center policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide direct nursing care in PACU and recovery.
• Monitor vitals and recovery status; manage pain and nausea as directed.
• Review post-operative instructions with patients and caregivers.
