Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider or Physician Assistant for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The role spans ambulatory and inpatient care with a multi-specialty plastics team.

You will assess patients, diagnose surgical needs, and coordinate care with surgeon leads. Responsibilities include preoperative planning, informed consent, and postoperative visits, with opportunities to assist in the operating room and contribute to clinic

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner with a Master's degree and ANCC certification or be a licensed advanced practice nurse in GA.
• Current BLS certification and credentialing by the credentialing office.
• Or must be a Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification and GA medical board licensure, with CE requirements met.
• Advanced certification in the area if required by the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly clinic as a stand-alone provider.
• Examine patients and diagnose needs for surgery.
• Review medical history and plan procedures with physician lead.
• Complete preoperative steps, consent, and scheduling education.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients.
• Conduct ambulatory procedures for various surgical diagnoses.
• Provide first assist in the operating room.
• Support Plastics clinic initiatives and educational materials.
