Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Ohio/Cleveland is seeking a production operator to set up and run plastic molding equipment, verify material availability, and calibrate settings to meet specifications. You will monitor cycle times, perform routine maintenance, inspect finished parts, track materials, and document results while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

A high school diploma or GED is required; experience with plastics manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Prior experience operating plastic molding machines is preferred.
• Working knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and related equipment is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude with packaging, plastics, and printing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic molding equipment per procedures.
• Monitor machine performance and make in-process adjustments.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs to sustain uptime.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and make corrections as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and log maintenance.
• Track raw material usage and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area following safety protocols.
