Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a production technician to oversee extrusion and molding lines on the production floor. You will verify machine set points, start up lines, sample parts, and document actions and results to keep runs on spec.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read technical drawings, and strong problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Full-time with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a fast-paced production setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all safety policies.
• Start up production machines and verify set points.
• Monitor operations, clean filters, perform minor maintenance, and purge as needed.
• Match materials, sleeves, boxes, and labels by part number for each run.
• Maintain and complete Process Check Sheets and quality records.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and compare samples to specs.
• Troubleshoot line issues and adjust machines.
• Notify supervisor when repairs are needed and restart equipment after service.
• Document problems, root causes, and solutions; record production data.
• Keep area clean and organized; support safety and housekeeping standards.
• Assist and train Technician Operators; provide team support.
• Provide coverage for breaks and related duties.
