A long-established plastic injection-molding manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Sales & Business Development Manager to lead new customer development and help drive the company’s next stage of growth.
The company has been operating for more than 40 years and has an established customer base, proprietary product lines, company-owned molds and intellectual property, and OEM/contract manufacturing capabilities. Its customers span institutional, retail, industrial, specialty, and international markets.
The company has historically grown without a dedicated sales team. This creates an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing sales professional to take ownership of business development, pursue new OEM and contract-manufacturing relationships, expand existing channels, and help utilize available manufacturing capacity.
The company operates an established in-house plastic injection-molding platform and generates revenue from both proprietary molded products and OEM/contract manufacturing.
Approximately 58% of current revenue comes from its primary proprietary product family, approximately 25% from OEM/contract manufacturing, and approximately 17% from additional proprietary products and accessories.
This gives the Sales & Business Development Manager multiple avenues for growth rather than requiring the successful candidate to sell a single product or service.
The primary objective of this position is to develop new revenue opportunities and increase utilization of the company’s existing manufacturing capabilities.
