Job summary

Octapharma Plasma is seeking a Plasma Processing Technician to execute plasmapheresis and perform venipunctures. You will ensure donor safety, accuracy of labeling, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include operating plasmapheresis equipment, maintaining logs, and supporting a compliant, high-quality donor experience across shifts. Physical demands include lifting and extended standing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Completion of training prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintain donor experience and service quality.
• Stock and replenish supplies; keep a clean, professional environment.
• Verify donor identification and confidentiality.
• Set up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units.
• Execute venipunctures and plasma collection with quality and safety.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and document exceptions.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma product quality.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis equipment; remove/replace as needed.
• Maintain logs and documentation; report unsafe conditions.
• Drive training efficiencies and ensure timeliness and compliance.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform regular QCs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
