Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipuncture and plasma collection with strict adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards. You will ensure donor safety, maintain equipment, and uphold high quality standards in a fast-paced plasma donation center.

The role requires attention to documentation, patient confidentiality, and the ability to operate automated plasmapheresis machines. Day/evening shifts and weekend availability are common in this field.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 months’ experience in a medical/health care environment preferred.
• Completed documentation of training appropriate for duties before performing duties independently.
• State requirements may mandate specific certifications or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis procedure and venipunctures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and SOPs to maintain production standards.
• Maintain donor experience and customer service aligned with company values.
• Stock and replenish supplies; keep a clean, professional work environment.
• Review donor IDs and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units and samples.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms and events.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma quality; manage donor comfort.
• Maintain machine logs and documentation; follow safety protocols for waste disposal.
• Calibrate and maintain machines daily/weekly/monthly; remove/replace equipment as needed.
• Drive training efficiencies and perform routine QC on equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
