Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Plasma Table Programmer/Operator in Minnesota to accurately program and operate laser and plasma machines. You will create CAD drawings and programs, read blueprints, and ensure QC processes are followed to deliver on-time, quality work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate for a two-year technical program in machine tool preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC/NC programming and geometric tolerances.

SALARY RANGE: $17.00 to $24.00 per hour

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE including 4 10-hour shifts and 5 8-hour shifts with flexible start times!

As the Plasma Table Programmer/Operator, your primary responsibility is to accurately program and operate the laser and plasma machines.

Some of your daily responsibilities as the Plasma Table Programmer/Operator include:

• Create programs and CAD drawings for laser and plasma machines
• Program laser and plasma machines
• Operate and maintain laser and plasma machines
• Communicate accurate machining sequences with manufacturing personnel
• Ensure that quality control processes are followed during the various stages of machining
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are machined correctly
• Ability to understand and willingness to follow existing QC processes
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs
• Provide input into machining and QC process improvements

What are we looking for in a great Plasma Table Programmer / Operator?

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Certificate for a two-year technical program in machine tool
• Knowledge of CNC/NC programming and understanding of geometric tolerances
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8 hours plus per day
• Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
