SpecSys Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Minnesota to assemble mobile equipment components for railway, construction, oil, and mining sectors.

The role emphasizes accuracy, sequence optimization, and hands-on labor to drive on-time, on-budget delivery. The position offers a salary range of $17.00 to $24.00 per hour with a flexible 4x10-hour shifts plus 5x8-hour shifts schedule, plus a broad benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and on-site

Qualificações

• Ability to read and understand detailed drawings, schematics, and assembly procedures.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills to interpret measurements and tolerances.
• Capable of reading and following written specifications and customer requirements.
• Physically able to lift 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical systems per schematics.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble mechanical components into controls of moderate complexity following documentation and specs.
• Assemble hydraulic actuators by hand using hand tools and bending tubing.
• Identify optimal assembly sequences to minimize downtime.
• Ensure products are built and tested to meet customer requirements.
• Identify component shortages and coordinate parts tracking with purchasing.
• Coordinate workload with project manager to implement ECO changes in assembly.
• Provide input into QC process improvements.

As the Mechanical Assembler, your primary responsibility will be to accurately define appropriate build sequences and provide hands on labor to assemble mobile equipment projects for industries including railway, construction, oil, mining, and more. You will use your detail-oriented skills to take responsibility and see projects through to completion.

What does the Mechanical Assembler is responsible do for SpecSys?

• Assembles mechanical components into controls of moderate complexity by following controlled documentation, standards and specifications
• Assembles hydraulic actuators by hand using hand tools bending tubing, drilling and taping
• Identifies appropriate assembly sequences to minimize unproductive time
• Ensures products are built and tested to meet customer requirements
• Identifies component shortages and coordinate parts tracking with purchasing / material handling department
• Coordinates work load with the assigned project manager to ensure design changes ECO changes are implemented into the overall assembly process
• Provides input into QC process improvements

• Knowledge of designing, using, and repairing machines and tools, computer hardware and software, building machines, and using plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Math skills to solve problems
• The ability to read and understand written information
• Can identify problems and review information
• Has the ability to understand and follow detailed drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, customer specifications and assembly procedures
• Can lift 75 pounds
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical schematics
• Can stand for 8 hours plus per day
• Understands and follows work order instructions including sign-off of assembly department dispatches
• Understands and follows existing quality control processes
• Has any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
