Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Project Manager in the United States (Kentucky region) to oversee fast-track manufacturing projects, ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and purchasing teams. You will manage documentation, supplier timing, and shop-floor activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of materials and BOM/MRP processes, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to rapid changes.

Qualifications

• Has knowledge of raw material and manufacturing processes.
• Works with a high sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Blueprint reading.
• Communications skills adaptable to cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP usage.
• Comfortable with rapid change.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Responsibility for all project documentation.
• Research questions related to fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of customer projects and communicate answers to shop floor personnel.
• Coordinate delivery of outsourced components with the purchasing department to ensure vendor supplied parts are delivered in a timely manner.
• Act as a primary focal point for customer contact during the manufacturing phase of a project.
• Monitor manufacturing progress against predetermined timeline milestones and advise management of timeline changes and ECOs.
• Create shop floor work orders and core BOM structures reflecting material assignments for in-house or outsourcing sequences.
• Ensure DXF files are created for laser and burn tables.
• Spend 30% to 50% of time on the shop floor.

SALARY IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXPERIENCE - $70,000 to $90,000 per year to start

What does a Project Manager do at SpecSys?

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Will spend 30% to 50% of time on the shop floor
