Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a plasma sample technician at our Maryland center. You will collect plasma samples, move units to freezers, and ensure proper storage according to SOPs while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

You will verify labels, use sterile technique and heat sealing, and prepare shipping and disposal docs. The role requires basic math, a high school diploma, and at least a few months of lab or warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Basic math calculations
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify pre-printed labels match the dynamic label for accuracy.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to assure sterility and quality.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation per SOPs.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and procedures; maintain a safe work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
