Job summary

CSL in Montgomery, AL seeks a plasma processing technician responsible for sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will collect samples, ensure proper labeling, maintain sterile technique and prepare shipments per SOPs.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and adherence to HSE/OSHA policies. Some cross-training may occur; overtime may be required; high safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer per SOPs.
• Ensure correct storage of plasma units according to SOPs.
• Verify accuracy of unit labeling by matching pre-printed label with dynamic label.
• Maintain sterile technique to preserve sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and record variances.
