Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a clinically skilled professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. The role involves interviewing donors, reviewing medical histories, and determining donation eligibility in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

You will review test results, identify conditions affecting donation, counsel donors on reactive results, and refer them for follow-up when needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training program.
  • If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or hold state EMT certification.
  • For NY: current RN/MD/DO licensure or reciprocal state certification.
  • Minimum one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
  • Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
  • Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
  • Collaborate with Center Medical Director to answer donor questions on suitability.
  • Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess donor symptoms.
  • Notify and counsel donors about reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
  • Provide routine care per SOPs and escalate critical situations to physicians or local providers.
