Job summary

CSL in Charlotte, NC seeks a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and determine eligibility to donate plasma in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors on reactive results, and escalating critical situations to physicians or local providers while following

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMTechnician.
• For NY: current state licensure or certification as RN, MD or DO.
• Minimum of one year in health care.
• Experience in plasma collection or regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability decisions.
• Review test results and monitor donor safety during donation.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up as needed.
• Follow SOPs and escalate critical medical situations to physicians or local providers.
