CSL Vifor seeks a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff under supervision.

The role includes interviewing donors, reviewing medical histories, interpreting test results, and escalating critical cases to the Center Physician. Experience in plasma/regulated environments is preferred. Licensure in paramedic, nursing, PA, or medical training required. Based in Charlotte, NC.

Formación

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure/certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and provide information on donor suitability.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
