Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified health professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, perform medical history reviews, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on donor suitability.

You will review test results, counsel donors on reactive findings, and escalate complex cases following SOPs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT.
• For NY: current licensure/certification in RN, MD or DO or in reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• With the Center Medical Director, answer medically related questions and inform staff on donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability; assess symptoms impacting donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer to facilities for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical situations to physicians as required.
