• Graduation from an accredited medical or paramedical program is required.
• Foreign medical graduates must be licensed or certified to practice in the state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff as allowed by licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical histories to determine donation eligibility.
• Respond to donor questions with guidance on suitability and procedures.
• Review test results to assess ongoing donor suitability and recognize adverse signs.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer to appropriate facilities.
