• One year or more of relevant experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address donor-related questions.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms.
• Counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer to community facilities for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations as needed.

Education

Graduation from paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program
