CSL Vifor seeks a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, perform medical histories, and determine suitability for donation.

Under supervision, you will review test results, counsel donors on reactive tests, follow SOPs, and escalate critical cases to medical leadership as needed.

Formación

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state EMT certification.
• For NY: current state licensure/certification as RN, MD or DO in the state of application or in a reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center or similar regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess physical heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.

Responsabilidades

• Under general supervision, evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provides limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure.
• Interviews donors and conducts medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• In conjunction with Center Medical Director, responds to medically related questions and informs staff on donor suitability.
• Reviews test results and determines donor continued suitability; assesses donor symptoms affecting donation.
• Notifies and counsels donors regarding reactive test results; refers donors for follow-up.
• Provides routine care following SOPs; escalates critical medical situations to Center Physician or local providers.
