Job summary

CSL Vifor seeks a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures, provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, and interview donors with medical history reviews to determine eligibility for plasma donation.

Under supervision, you will review test results, determine continued donor suitability, counsel donors on reactive results, and escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician, following SOPs and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic program.
• Must be licensed or certified per state requirements if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma/whole blood centers preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments (heart, lungs, signs of drug use).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and review medical history for eligibility.
• Consult Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
• Review test results to determine donor continuing eligibility.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Escalate critical cases to physicians as needed.
