Job summary

Octapharma Plasma in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Plasma Center Technician to support donor collection operations and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP and company SOPs.

You will perform donor screening, vitals, finger stick testing, prepare plasmapheresis equipment, monitor procedures, and maintain accurate records. The role requires basic computer skills, good customer service, and the ability to work day and evening shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months’ experience in clerical or customer service position preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
• Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required.
• Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required.
• Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure total operation compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP SOPs to maintain high production standards.
• Maintain donor center cleanliness and an orderly work area with supplies.
• Monitor donor conditions and ensure donor comfort, safety, and product quality.
• Record keeping per company SOPs and confidentiality policy.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts and perform daily/monthly QC on equipment.
• Cleans spills and disposes of biohazardous waste per procedure.
