Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener in Memphis, TN, to provide excellent customer service and support plasma center operations. You’ll perform donor screenings, manage records, and ensure a safe experience for donors.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, along with the ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 32 lbs. This role offers a starting hourly wage of $16.00 and numerous benefits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer or patient-facing experience is helpful.
• Accept potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens; prolonged glove wear is required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Screen new and repeat donors while ensuring their experience is positive.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement in the center processes.

Job description

Schedule

This is a truly part‑time role with most shifts lasting between 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week. Availability will be confirmed early in the interview process and any schedule changes will be communicated in advance.

About the Role

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a plasma donor screener and phlebotomy technician to support plasma center operations.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on their experience while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 32 lbs., and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Accept potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1); 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer or patient‑facing experience is helpful.
